Balance Sheet  

The balance sheet describes the entity's assets and liabilities separately and shows owners' equity and, where applicable, other equity separately.

Assets and liabilities are valued separately.

Assets and liabilities may not be offset against each other.

The opening balance sheet of a financial year corresponds to the closing balance sheet before appropriation of the previous financial year.
